Repugs: NEARLY EVERY SINGLE GODDAMNED ONE voted yes on that excreable corporate-shill peice of vile horseshit legislation. Look at that party discipline: 215 yea, 8 nay.
Then look at the spineless corprorate-owned sellout Democrats: THE MAJORITY OF THEM VOTED FOR THIS DISGUSTING BILL! They were split nearly down the middle... half were too chickenshit to defy their huge corporate lobbyist donors.
Only 92 voted No, and they are heroes. Relieved to see my own Congressman Lantos on that list; though he's probably one of the worst war-hawks in the Democratic party, at least he understands the danger of letting corporations dominate and close off our vital commons. Good on him.
It's time for public financing of federal campaigns, big time.
